Performance and Charging
The standard configuration for the Lyriq is rear-wheel drive with a 340-horsepower electric motor on the rear axle. The 500-horsepower dual motor all-wheel drive powertrain, standard on the highest trim, add a second motor to the front axle. Buyers will enjoy a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds with this powertrain. The Lyriq has an aggressive regenerative braking system that allows for one-pedal driving in most situations. It also utilizes General Motors' EV Ultium scalable technology that enables the manufacturer to produce various-sized batteries. The Lyriq has a 102.0-kWh capacity, providing a 312-driving range per change in single-motor models. DC fast-charing capability and charging on home power outlets are standard. The Ultium architecture provides a nearly equal weight distribution from the front to the back of the vehicle.
